Rather than loose-fitting slip-on shoes, I personally always prefer to wear smart-looking lace-up shoes. For this reason, whenever I go out, I sit down in a chair, use a shoehorn to put on my shoes and then lace them up. It was when I was doing this that I suddenly hit upon the idea of incorporating a shoehorn into the actual structure of chair.

Using the knock-down method, I put it inside a compact cardboard package. It’s simple to assemble using the traditional wooden screw system and without any need for tools. All that has to be done is to screw the legs into the back of the seat, after which the chair can be used straight away.
