Using the newly manufactured flat oval section steel pipe, this was an attempt to design a series of casual multi-use furniture. A wash-and-wear covering system was adopted for the upholstery. At the time, a waterproof but ventilation allowing fabric like the Gore-Tex was not yet available, and after a long search, a light urethane film coating was applied to linen for the purpose. |
