PULSE

Functional research on chairs with a shift from ergonomics to medical engineering and to chairs on which everyone can comfortably sit on for a long time.

The “PULSE” chair supports the three major points of your body, namely: your pelvis, chest and head/neck like hands and arms in holding you in a stable sitting posture. The chairs also have a mechanism that can effortlessly convey the force at the bottom of your feet to your back to allow natural reclining regardless of your physical frame.

This seating sensation was borne in a collaborative development based on the “active fit” theory that was derived from some serious front-line medical research carried out by Hokkaido University and medical research institutes for the disabled, and has achieved a stability and conformity that conventional ergonomics alone could have never realized.
