Sheet glass was first made by cutting the bottom off hand-blown cylindrical glass vases and cutting the cylinder with a hot wire to spread it out.
Taking advantage of the current technology, however, would we be able to create a 3D glass panel with partially inverse tapered projections or dents by heating float plate glass in a furnace? The mirror finish on both the faces we call vis-à-vis.
