The use of double glass windows for heat and sound insulation has been increasing. The function of airtight window sashes for sound insulation in todayÅfs urban housings has seen a notable improvement, but the problem of resonance could not be solved with double glass and was a long-time challenge for the industry.

The structure of “My-Mute” includes frame bars with small holes, placed between the glass panels to adjust the inner air pressure, preventing the resonance penetration phenomenon seen in double glass windows. It is a practical application of the principle of the Helmholtz Resonator.
